I was looking for an entry level road bike. For the price, I did not expect much. To my surprise, the bike is pretty decent. It took me about 40 min. to assemble the bike (my first bike). Is pretty light for a inexpensive road bike, very pleased with my purchase.

CUSTOMER REVIEW

review

This bike is junk. The only reason it deserves one star is because Huffy's customer service is actually really good. The bike arrived with a bent front rim which caused the tube to slip out from the tire and blow. Huffy replaced both wheels for free. The pedal fell off after 2 days and stripped the threads on the crank. Huffy replaced that for free. The brake pads wore out after about 6 trips to work and back. Then the back rim somehow got bent. Huffy replaced it for free. Then the front rim that had already been replaced, got bent again somehow which caused the tire to slip out and blow. That ended my bike ride with the kids and subsequently a phone call to the wife to come pick us up, The rear derailleur still does not shift properly after many adjustments. This bike is nothing but a headache. The only time this bike has been off a paved area was to turn around in some gravel areas. Other than that it has only been ridden on roads or sidewalks to work and back. You get what you pay for. I will be replacing this bike with something better. I don't have a choice.

I don't leave many reviews but thought this was needed as no other reviews were available.

I received this bike a few days ago, bought it the day it went live on amazon.

I'm so glad I did go for this brand and this particular bike, what a machine! and before going further.....the price!!!

easily half of any other major brands out there for the equivalent! Ive tried the giant etc... and could not feel any better than on this one. The workmanship looks great and all components feel strong and well build

I am going about 4 miles per hour faster than on my 2014 giant defy which is exceptional, I don't have much wind resistance compare to the others and it seems the bike goes when you want it to! maybe its the carbon frame or aerodynamic? regardless its a breeze to go.

I ride alone most of the time and are so happy to have chosen this new kind of bikes more appropriate for us out there.

Let's get one thing straight first- I do not wear spandex! I just wanted a fast, cool looking bike to get around- And I got it! If you are a super duper serious cyclist looking to tour or win races or whatever, you shouldn’t be looking in this price range anyway.

I am 5’11”, 170lbs, 30” inseam, and I purchased the 54cm in grey. I use the Vilano in San Francisco to cruise around to restaurants, bars, parks, and other points of interest to take a break from the joy of driving and parking in the city. This bike handles the hills very well, it’s great for riding around town, fast enough to ride through traffic, and looks and rides like a high-quality bike!

This bike was very easy to put together and I had a knowledgeable, cyclist buddy of mine fine-tune it for me. I rode one of his bikes that cost over $700 and the Vilano performs the same, if not better! I have tried but, I can’t stand riding road bikes with curled handlebars and I am very satisfied with the way the Vilano’s handlebars are set up. They are super comfortable and the shifters look awesome and operate amazingly! They have a trigger shifter for the index finger and another for the thumb for quickly shifting up and down through the gears. Overall, it puts me in more of a relaxed riding position. The seat is surprisingly comfortable for a road bike too. The brakes worked very well, were completely silent, and were set up correctly in the factory. As for the weight, I think it’s around 22 lbs and can be lifted with one finger. The included metal pedals look great and have a nice bite that grips very well.

This is all I need in a road bike and I am very happy with it!

CUSTOMER REVIEW

review

Where to start? Not going for flow, here's some points. For 270 or whatever I paid, I'm not disappointed in this bike. That said, all my other bikes are $3,000+ bikes and so the perspective may be a little off. I think if you think a 600 dollar bike (the list price) should be amazing, you may be disappointed. I bought this to have a cheap fixie/single speed for rolling around Toronto, that I wouldn't scream bloody murder if it got stolen or damaged, and that I can ride at Mini-Drome next weekend.

Unlike other buyers who had complaints about the shipping condition of this an other Vilanos (ie box in rough shape, scratches, etc.) I had no issues - bike arrived in an intact box two or three days early. There were stand-offs in all the right spots to keep the bike from getting beaten around in the box - it was well packed.

Assembly was easy, if you know anything about bikes you don't need the video (there is no manual)

The headset is running a little rough, but not bad.

The whole bike is pretty heavy due to steel frame and deep dish wheels, but it rolls nicely.

The bike looks good, as good as the pictures. The fit is a little funny - I don't have it completely set up yet but I feel like I've got too much weight forward, even though my saddle is appropriately placed front to back and I'm not otherwise uncomfortable. Might just need to bring the saddle down a little.

The wheel ajustment is easy, and it takes about 30 seconds to switch from fixie to single speed, provided you have the tools with you.

The brakes, as most say, aren't worth anything. But a cheap set of replacements will be easy. Actually, I feel like I'll probably be eventually be replacing the wheels and steering assembly on this bike too, but it runs well out of the box. Mostly I'd like a wider handlebar, and I'd replace the headset and might as well the stem too at that time. The bars are well taped, I don't expect them to come apart anytime soon.

The wheelset, unlike other Vilano reviews, worked fine out of the box. Wheels were true, spokes were not bad (will need a tune soon), and the rubber fit the rim nicely and I haven't had any trouble in about 4 hours of riding. I've been in fixie mode though, so no comments on the freewheel mechanism.

The pedals are definitley being replaced. I've been riding them upside down because I'm too lazy to take the straps off. Will run clipless mtb I think.

Anyway, I was in a rush to buy this bike. There are lots of fixes out there, but this one was the 'right now' and accpetable bike. I'm not disappointed and given a do-over, there is a strong chance I'd buy this bike again.

Cheers.

I'm also impressed by this bike, especially for $399. I've had a lot of bikes in the last 30 years, this one (#3 in the fleet at the moment) is a nice one. For quick trips to stores in the neighborhood, I often just jump on this one (It's more popular with me, at least, than my BMW X3 suv, that tells you something about the bike!). Get yourself one, you won't be sorry.

August 7, 2014 Update: After having this one a week, decided to order another one! so I can easily carry two folded up in the back of the car, pop them out, and take off on a bike ride with a friend, my daughter, etc. So my earlier comment "get yourself one"...scratch that! get yourself Two!

I purchased this bike figuring that I was mechanically inclined enough and youtube could help me through the less familiar adjustment procedures. This frame is outstanding. The bike went together pretty well but the instructions were written for someone who puts these things together for a living.

The rear & front derailleurs & brakes were out of adjustment (nothing I didn't expect). I nearly drove myself crazy trying to get the rear derailleur adjusted until I realized the chain was too short. You will probably need to add some chain. The rear wheel was not installed square with the frame either. Make sure you check that too. I still cannot get the rear bake arms to center when released.

I tried to inflate the tires but my bicycle pump would not work with these fittings. They are not the same air fittings (Schrader valves) like on a car. They are called "Presta" valves. I already have two bicycle pumps for standard fittings. The rims will not take shrader valves, so you cannot replace the tubes with different fittings without modifying the rims. Luckily there is an inexpensive adapter so you can use a regular air pump.

CUSTOMER REVIEW

review

First off, I must say that I am very new to the road bike thing. I wanted to get my feet wet to prepare for the Hotter Than Hell in Wichita Falls Texas in 2014. So I took the plunge on this entry level ride. Central Texas is unforgiving, road wise. What we lack in natural terrain features we more than make up for in road debris and crappy roadways. With that out there, I hope that this posting serves as a decent review for would be buyers. While the internet is a valuable resource, researching this bike is fruitless. I have been unable to find anything of any value. So I relied on Amazon customer reviews to pull the trigger. To start, UPS delivered on a Wednesday afternoon. I immediately noticed shipping container damage. The package they say weighed 35 lbs. It did feel lighter. Unpacking this bike was easy. I did note damage ( large deep scratch) to the stem and the right sided handlebar tape was undone because of a broken end cap. Oh well. Assembly was easy, very easy. 15-20 minutes. I felt that I had researched enough about setup, seat height and handlebar angle to get it right. And that is how it went. The wheels were true, and for the most part the rear derailleur was nicely tuned. The front derailleur however is another story. While I can shift, the travel required to do so is EXTREME. But I'll expand on that a little more shortly. Common sense dictated that replacing the tubes with "slime tubes" only made sense. The preinstalled rim tape is sufficient and tough enough. Quick release front and rear are purely awesome!! But lacking a pressure gauge set me up for my first failures. I inflated the tires until they were rock hard. My first ride was a quick 2 mile test for shift tuning, resulted in a flat rear tire. After a change and rock hard'er' inflation, I rocked another rear flat! Clearly ensuring that proper tire pressure is maintained is CRITICAL. And as the ride gods have it the local rains started putting me out of commission for two full days. In the meantime, I purchased a pump with gauge that allowed me to go to 110 as the tires suggested. My local bike shop suggested I drop 70 bucks on some 'gator skin' tires to solve my flat issue. I did not!!! So the rains cleared and I had a dry Saturday morning to play. 14 miles with no flats felt good. The bike was responsive and I felt comfortable at 29 MPH on a steady downhill. My iPhone mounted to the handlebar nicely so I can use my favorite GPS ride tracker. I took it out again Saturday night for 16 miles without incident. Sunday found me confident enough to rack up 25 miles -again without incident. The bike felt comfortable. I am coming from a mountain bike that sees 200-250 miles a month. But this road bike stuff is a new beast. It is relatively light-weight. Approx 23-24 pounds by my guess. The bike is sturdy. I feel secure on it. I do not feel fast. I have not been able to shake the 'mountain bike' lack of aerodynamics. I am 5' 11" 180 lbs. and my average speed is roughly 17-18 MPH. But this bike is for beginners. I test rode a nice top of the line road bike at my local bike shop that was rocking the upper 3 grand range, and honestly I wasn't impressed. I admit I felt cocky. I signed up for the Waco Wild West 100. It was yesterday at 8 AM. I opted to do the 50 mile route, which I completed in 3 hrs and 26 minutes!!!!! I was 9th across the line after stopping at 3 rest areas. I trust this bike. In my scattered pre race jitter I packed my replacement tubes and FORGOT my pump !!! The ride was uneventful!!! I trust this bike!!! I have faith in the sturdy feel. A pair of padded cycling gloves overcame the road vibration which without is excessive. More than likely the road conditions of Central Texas. Overall this finish (I chose white) is gorgeous and without flaw. The components are pretty solid entry level, yet dependable. Frame is sturdy. The rims I'm sure are heavier than most, but I am not seasoned enough to care. Handle bars are sturdy and overall allow the bike to be extremely maneuverable. During my 50 miler I felt like a seasoned enough rider to handle turns at police protected intersections at my cruising speed of roughly 18 mph. The tires provided more than adequate grip. The handlebars are comfortable. Now lets talk left shifter for the double chainring. I have already discussed my build a bit. My hands are not monstrous, nor are they small. My shifting problem is troubling. The play in that shifter is excessive. To the point where it is perhaps a defect. To shift in one shot I have to use my right hand, over the handle bar and pull the integrated brake lever towards midline. Not cool when riding down the road in the middle of nowhere, but I survived, the bike survived. And I trust it. Potential future upgrades include new tires, because I have after a week and half noted some major tread wear. Braking is fine on this bike. Maybe the future may hold some Shimano brakes for consistency. I am toying with getting some aero bars. I must say overall this bike is gorgeous. For those debating pulling the trigger on this one, don't. I am glad I did despite the small hiccups. Please feel free to ask questions if you have any.

This is based on SPECS ALONE. I have not seen or used this bike before.

After researching mountain bikes for my son, this one seems to be the best deal. Here's why:

- Aluminum Frame: Much lighter than steel. This can make a large difference.

- Name Brand Components: Most of these components I can swap out on my custom Trek 4300.

- "Standard" Components: Most components can purchased easily if the bike needs to be fixed.

- Diamondback Name: Good name for adult bikes.

Also look at: Diamondback Cobra Similar bike, not quite as good components, different color for same model year (color can be important to kids.)

Great bike, worth the money. The frame on this bike is light weight and sturdy. I would recommend getting the gears adjusted because the are a little ruff we you first ride it. CUSTOMER REVIEW

review

UPDATE July 24, 2014: the only thing I've noticed, after having ridden the bike several times, is that I slide forward in the seat and don't feel that I'm comfortably seated on the back part. I find myself sliding towards the narrow part. Not sure if this means I don't have the seat positioned correctly?

************

I love my Komodo trike, love the color and the stability of the trike. Kudos to the seller for shipping it out quickly. According to the box, it shipped from California and I received it 6 days later. The trike arrives in a large box and it was well packaged.

I purchased the Rossie (the pink version). The pink color in the product image is a little misleading as it makes the bike look like it's hot pink and the color description even calls it hot pink, but it's not. It's hard to describe the actual color, so for lack of any other kind of reference, I'd say it's closer to a Pepto Bismol pink. Now, before you saw "eww" let me tell you that the color is a much more of a classic pink -- and I was actually very pleased that it wasn't the hot pink as pictured. Also the trim that looks off white in the image is actually white.

My consternation is in the additional time and money it took to actually get it up and running. I had read elsewhere where a Grandma claimed to be able to put this bike together, so of course I thought that I would be able to put this thing together myself as well. WRONG. The directions are worthless. That must have been one smart Grandma. I'm no dummy at putting things together either. I totally ROCK at IKEA furniture. But, if you're anything like me and know little to nothing about bikes and even less about bicycle assembly, expect to have this professionally assembled. I paid $130.00 for assembly.

Once assembled, there was no way this trike was going to fit in my car (I have a Scion XB). So, I had to rent a U-Haul truck to transport the assembled bike from the bike shop to my residence... adding $50. Then, not two days after I had my bike, the chain slipped off and when I put it back on, the pedals turned, but the wheels wouldn't. So I went to a bike repair shop (this time I found one in walking distance, fortunately) and they found that the rear "cog" was faulty. It had to be replaced which costed me another $50.

So, you take the initial investment of $399 + $130 (assembly) + $50 (rental truck} + $50 (replacement cog) and my trike actually costed me: $629 total. Significantly more than the $399 I thought I would be spending. Obviously, everyone's experience is different... I'm not the smartest bicycle shopper and, to be honest, I just wanted to have a great trike on which I could look adorable while I trekked around the neighborhood with my trusty (and lazy) Boston Terrier in the basket.

A couple of things to keep in mind. First, this trike is *heavy*. In fact, I've already named mine "Betsy the Beast." It's not something you would want to be lifting on and off of a bike carrier (not sure if you can even do that with a trike) or transport anywhere. You'll be much happier -- and your back and arms will thank you -- if you are able to simply zip right onto the sidewalk or street straight from your driveway. I hope that Komodo eventually puts future models on a serious diet by finding a more lightweight frame.

Second, don't forget you're on a trike... you've got more "junk in the trunk" than you do in the front, so you'll want to keep this in mind as you take corners and maneuver around objects, people, etc. When you're riding, it's easy to forget this. I often take sharp turns into door frames or elevators (I live in an apartment building) and get the back wheels "stuck" on the frame. For this reason, I also find it terribly difficult to push the bike through doors as well. I often have to push the front of the bike through the door frame first and then have to "lift" the backend to align it to the frame to get it out. You'll need to account for a turning radius. Also, I had read that some people teeter totter on the bike or tip over when taking turns. I don't have this issue on the Komodo. I find it to be extremely stable.

All that aside, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my trike. This is my first trike and I ran into a couple of unexpected hiccups that I hadn't considered when purchasing it. I'm just trying to provide an accurate description of my experience so far, but don't get discouraged by my comments!

I get lots of comments on the trike and I love biking around my urban suburb in the Northern Virginia area. I'm very, very pleased with it now that's it's all put together and fixed. Would I purchase it again? Well, I hope I don't need to, but I would recommend this bike to a friend but provide all the additional info that I gave here.

Most importantly, I love getting out and riding the bike with my dog, who absolutely LOVES riding around in the basket.

review

First off I will come back after a little time and travel on my new purchase to update this post.

I am a returning OIF/OND combat infantry veteran with a bad knee, I cannot run anymore because of pain in my leg so I decided to get into cycling. I went out to Academy and bought a bike that I thought was decent enough not knowing anything about the sport and decided that if I can't run at least I can ride. The bike that I bought from Academy was the Schwinn Volare 1300 (on a side note, if you're thinking of buying that bike...DONT). It did not take me anytime to realize that purchase was just me pissing money away, if you're truly looking for a good training bike and a way to get into shape this is your bike. The bike I had before constantly tried to skip gears on me, it was only a 14 speed so climbing up tall bridges was nearly impossible for me because I am just getting back into somewhat decent shape, and the shifters were thumb shifters attached to the center column of the handlebars. Some of the things that I have learned from my terrible purchase were that you want a bike with drop bar brake / shifter levers so that you will not have to sit up and readjust every single time you want to go up or down a gear. You want a bike that has at least 16 gears, the lower the gear goes the better it will be for climbing if you're serious enough to get out on the road and ride 25 miles at a time like I do. You want a bike that has both front and rear tire quick release feature rather than one that is just front tire and the rear tire is not. All of these things that I just mentioned are on the Schwinn Men's Phocus 1600. I am a clyde, I am 6 foot tall and weigh in at around 218 pounds, for me you also need a bike that you can lean forward on and not feel as if you are having to reach behind you for the handlebars when you're trying to get under the wind. This bike came fast, took 3 day's for me to receive my order and was fed-ex delivered. The packing was good, double boxed so as to protect from damaging any material and the bike was pretty much already assembled. When I opened the box the rear tire, chain, rear deraileur, front deraileur, crankset, cassette, brakes were all already on the frame and properly tensioned. The handlebar cables were attached but they did need to be mounted and the front forks were just slightly off center from the frame so I had the re-adjust that part. the seat was wrapped up and placed carefully beside the bike in the box as well as the foot pegs and the front tire. This bike did not have any instruction manual on how to assemble it from this point but unless you're a total nimrod, it shouldn't take you but about a half hour maybe. I gave this purchase only four stars at this time for two reasons, 1) Even though I am mechanically inclined and did not need them it seems to me that they should have had some sort of instructional reading on how to assemble to bicycle out of the box and 2) Even though this was very well packaged the tensioner torque bolt for the front brake cable was slightly bent because it is made out of aluminum and easy to manipulate. this did not cause me any added grief really but only a few seconds, I am a welder I deal with metals all day, at just the sight of the torque bolt I knew it was aluminum and could be bent with my thumb and that's exactly what I did. I tightened it in a little and then placed my thumb against the curve and forced it straight... the bike is great.

I am very happy with my purchase and will keep you all updated soon

review

Got the bike today and it was easy to put together. The component parts (brakes) are cheap but I expect it to be for the price. The frame is worth the $150.00 price tag. So I'm fine with it. The wheels are good like the other post claim. It would be wise to buy better tires because I can tell that the tires are cheap and one rock will pop right through it. So invest in new tires as well ( I bought Vittoria Zaffiro 700x25c tires. Note that it doesn't come in pairs. So you gotta order two.) Just had to make minor adjustments like tighten the brakes. This bike is use as a secondary bike to lock up at the beach to go to the shops and take to play basketball. I have a cannondale R900 that is expensive and is never going to leave my sight. This is where the commuter bike comes in. So yes I'm happy with what it provides. I also put a rack on it which the screw/nut looks like it blocks the first small gear which I wont ever change to that gear anyways. So if you plan on putting a beam rack. (Keep note you might run into the same problem.)

I also bought a pump and bag. All in all with the upgrades that were made to this bike. You can probably just buy a Schwinn Men's Prelude Bicycle here on amazon with free shipping for $250.00 without having to upgrade any cheap parts. That would be ideal. But I need something that will get scratch and beat up so no one wont steal at the beach. lol

There is a User pic of the bike I put up. If anyone wants to see what it looks like put together. It was taken on my phone. Sorry it wasn't that great of a picture because can barely see the beam rack on the back. There is a cargo net to carry back pack or a basketball.

UPDATE: As of 8/03/2012 I now have put over 200 miles on this bike. Here is what I've notice. The seat is uncomfortable for long 40 mile rides. (Replace the saddle for a comfort long ride or buy a gel seat cover.) The brakes don't have enough stopping power. So upgrading to dual pivot brakes is a good idea. The cheapest I've seen here on amazon is $25 for front and back. Which will do the job compared to the one this bike comes with. It is important to have better brakes when riding on the road next to cars. It is important to keep yourself safe. The bike chain makes noise. While I'm at the beach people can hear me riding from behind so they walk out the way. lol Which is a good thing because don't have to let anyone know I'm on their left or have to buy a bell. I got use to it so it doesn't bother me. Just want people to know in case their expecting a quiet ride. Going uphill is a breeze. So after all the add on accessories to this bike and upgrading the parts. I'm happy with it. Lock it up for the first time and enjoying the beach.

I got this saddle to go with my new white fixie. It looks identical to the picture. When I first sat on the saddle, I was a little disappointed that it didn't have much cushion. I've rode 40-50 miles on this saddle and have never had any troubles what so ever. Although it may have a lack cushion, while riding it's actually pretty comfortable. I've worn black shorts while riding and the seat has stayed just as pearly white as when I bought it. I would highly recommend this seat to anyone looking to add a stylish and necessary piece to their bike!

CUSTOMER REVIEW

review

I purchased this bike for a low cost test to see if I would like road biking. The over quality of the bike is quite good and has been , I feel, put together very well. I purchased the bike for under 300 so I can't really complain. I have so far ridden about 3-4 hundred miles on the bike right out of the box. Only thing I added were clipless pedals to fit my mtn shoes. I'll probably up grade down the road, but will keep this bike for my commuter. I read the Vilano site and some folks are actually using the bike for their first tri events and I think the bike would fit that very nicley. I put the bike together in about 1 hour. I have a background in bikes so it was not terribly difficult. I am very happy with the bike and would recomend the bike to anyone interested in a low cost above average quality road bike.

CUSTOMER REVIEW

review

Let me start with some history. Thirty years ago I worked a summer job as a Schwinn bicycle mechanic. I loved that job. In the process I assembled a ton of bicycles. I also purchased a Schwinn Continental 10 speed. Thirty years ago that was a great bike. Even by today's standards it would be a cool bike. That bike was stolen in 1982ish.

Move forward to 2006. I started getting the itch to ride a bicycle again. I tooled out to WalMart and bought one of those RoadMaster MtFurys for 53 bucks and rode it everyday. I decided I wanted a road bike since I was riding farther and longer, week by week. So, I ordered the 63cm GMC Denali from Amazon.

The bike arrived through the US mail in a box that looked like they dragged it behind the mail truck for a few miles. I was worried that something was broken. Nevertheless, I opened er up and the bike was fine. They packed it in a manner that allows it to take a bit of a beating in shipping. Since I was an old bicycle mechanic I never even opened the manual and put the bike together in about fifteen minutes. Basically that requires air in the tires, mount the front, put the handlebar neck in place, put the seat in place, put the pedals on, adjust the brakes, and ride. I chose to leave the reflectors off, for now.

My first impression was that I found it awkward to have to reach down to use the brakes. I got used to that fast. My second impression was how effortless it was to go fast on this bike, compared to the el-cheapo quasi mountain bike described above. The 63cm, black and silver Denali, rides really smooth and the derailers are light years better than the ones on the MtFury. I have never had, nor will I ever own and multi thousand dollar bicycle. But, I will say that this bike is really fantastic for the price. I am so impressed with the quality for under two hundred bucks.

The wheels and tires are quite narrow and 28 inches. Combine that with the aluminum frame, shimano derailers and it performs very well.

Some folks don't like the twist shifters. I find that I like it very much. I didn't think I would but, I do.

I wasn't in a position to spend a grand plus on a road bike but, I was doing a lot of daily riding. This bike has met my needs perfectly. The WalMart bike is I guess exactly the same thing except that it's a tad shorter. At 6'2 I find that the 63cm bike has me pretty much maxed out. I like it because it's tall but, if I were any shorter it would be awkward. The height lets me really get the maximum out of a pedal stroke for power and speed.

If I had a complaint it would be that the gearing is a bit short. That is that in top gear, on flat ground I max out the bike real quick. If it had a taller gear I could get more speed. The bike seems like it might be geared a bit short. On the plus side a reasonably athletic person wont need to shift gears much. Just keep her in top gear for most applications. You can get on it and boogie on down the road right now.

The seat really aint bad. If you think it is try that anvil on the MtFury. Holy cow. I like the pedals on the Denali. They fit me perfectly.

Nothing in life is perfect. But, for the price, you wont come close to his bike. I promise you that. Try it and see. I looked at used bikes before I bought this one. They were quite a bit more and looked rode hard and put up wet. The cheapest bike I found, used, near this price was a raggedy old Raleigh that the seller wanted $175.00 for. His bike had slick tires, scratches, and rust. It rode like an old bike with slick tires and rust. This bike rides tight and looks really nice. I found a Specialized bike that looked completely used up that the seller wanted the cost of three of the GMCs for. I decided that I could have three new bikes, back to back for the price of one bike that I wouldn't trust to get me around the block. I bought the Denali.

So, far I have ridden it a few hundred miles. I had one flat tire that I patched on the fly and kept on riding. It would be nice to have quick release axles. But, I carry a sawed off 15mm box wrench in by tool pouch. Works fine, last long time. They say that this bike is heavy. Come on now. It's really not bad at all. If I were in the tour de-whatever it might matter. But, for a day of riding it's a great bike. It's a heck of a lot lighter than what I was riding ya'll.

If this bike were to be stolen I would immediately buy another one.

Update: I did replace the rear sprocket set with a better set. Under heavy pedaling the chain would jump off of the sprocket a little bit. The the sprocket set fixed that. Other than that I've done nothing to this bike.
