I've been riding Diamondbacks my whole life. I have a 2014 Diamondback Response, my toddler has a Diamondback Viper, and I just ordered this one for my wife. It was her first mountain bike and she absolutely loves it. I would recommend replacing the seat immediately! I ordered her a Serfas Rx seat and I can't keep her off the bike! She is 5'3" and this fits her great. I did have to do some minor tuning, adjusted breaks and shifters. Putting the bike together and doing this is very easy. Brakes and shifters are adjusted by turning the appropriate screw. Directions are online with pictures. I also recommend a Cateye headlight/taillight combo, Ibeza water bottle holder, and Giro Rift helmet. This bike also works great with child trailers, we use the Instep Double and you don't even know its behind you! I hope this helps!
