CUSTOMER REVIEW

review

I bought this to commute to and from work. It's around 4-5 miles or so with somewhat steep climbs.

Pros:

1. Cheap. As a student, this was a real big plus for me

2. Relatively easy to assemble. The directions are crap as they have directions for more than one product.

3. Light. For a bike this cheap, I thought it would weigh a lot more. It is not the lightest bike, but it suffices.

Cons:

1. Uncomfortable. I'm around 5'11'' at 175 pounds and I found the seat that came with the bike to be really uncomfortable. My butt was really sore after the first commute.

2. Crap brake lines/drive train. The brake lines, as some reviewers had said, are not the best. I've spent a lot of time trying to re center my brakes but they always become off center after a ride. Also, the chains seem to slip quite easily, especially when going up a hill.

3. Handle bar. I don't know about the others, but I've had a couple of issues with my handle bar. After riding it to and from work, I've found that the handle bar became loose and had to readjust and tighten the bolts that were holding it in place. Now, after a couple of days, the handlebar grips are getting a little loose.

Overall, you get what you pay for. For me, I only needed a bike that could get me from home to work and back. If you are looking to ride for fun or leisure, I would suggest buying another bike.
