Diamondback Bicycles 2014 Century 1 Road Bike with 700c Wheels

First, let me preface this by saying that my 5 star review is on the bike itself. The bike arrived quick, looked great, and wasn't hard to assemble. If you are handy at all and own basic tools I would say watch some videos on youtube and go for it but if you are not then take it to a bike shop to assemble it. I was able to assemble everything without any issues but was having trouble adjusting the front derailleur and getting it to switch to the big ring.



The only downside I have had so far is my front tire would go flat overnight. I took it in to my bike shop and they inspected both tubes and found small punctures in both tubes. This frustrated me since the bike was new so I had them replaced with thicker tubes. Normally, I would have called Diamondback and tried to get them to replace the tubes free of charge but I need the bike for a trip this weekend so I just had to pay to get new ones. I contacted Diamondback after the fact to see what could be done and spoke to Jason. He was very friendly and helpful but explained all they could do was send me replacement tubes. This is what I expected and while I was disappointed that I had to spend money on a brand new bike, I am going to chalk this up to bad luck rather than poor quality.



So far I am loving the bike. It is light, fast, and feels solid. I am fairly new to cycling and use this bike as a way to get to and from school and I ride about 50 miles/week. If you are a more serious rider I'm sure you would find faults with this bike but if you are looking at getting into road biking then you can't go wrong with this bike.



I haven't taken it on a long ride yet but when I do I will try to update my review. Also I am 6'5" and while I'm sure professionals would say this frame is a little too small for me I feel like it fits fine for my purposes.
